We are excited to receive the Regional Innovator Award for our Joint High School Pipe Fitting Apprentice program with Allfirst LLC. ASI and Allfirst were recognized, along with several other companies, at a recent awards luncheon in Portsmouth. This program provides Hampton Roads area high school welding students the opportunity to learn an additional trade skill in Pipefitting at no cost to the student. After successful completion, they are guaranteed a job interview for full-time work between the two companies. Once employed, they are offered a $200 tool allowance to support their efforts. This year, ASI and Allfirst collectively hired all seven of the students. We are currently recruiting for next year's class which kicks off on November 15, 2019. For more information, please contact Chasity Pritchett in our HR Department.
