About Us

About Us

For over 20 years Auxiliary Systems Incorporated has been growing from a small US Navy feed water provider to a diverse and experienced auxiliary system manufacturer and contractor.

Auxiliary Systems Inc. is a 100% Woman-Owned small business that founded in 1990 by Sharon Williams under the name, Pure Water Technologies. The Company’s initial business plan was to generate and supply feed water for US Navy ships and local shipyards. Throughout the next two decades, the company evolved by utilizing the SIMA and FTSCLANT business models which led to the addition of the motor, pump, valve, compressor, condenser, boiler, machine, and fabrication shops.

The growth and capabilities eventually leveraged Pure Water Technologies to produce 009-90 Standard Items and become OEM Technical Representatives for Aqua-Chem, FMC Technologies and other OEM’s.  In 2007 ASI acquired Solec, an electric motor rewind/generator shop.  In 2010 the Company acquired Electro-Mech of Virginia which was a marine and industrial breakers shop, and in 2011 we opened Tranter/Alpha Laval Service Center which re-manufactures plate and frame heat exchangers.  In 2011, Pure Water Technologies changed its name to Auxiliary Systems, Inc., which more accurately represented the Company’s expanded capabilities.  In 2013 ASI acquired assets of Eagle Sheet Metal, providing us with a new field in production.  In 2014 ASI acquired assets of AMIS.

Over the past two decades, Auxiliary Systems, Inc. has gained significant experience in the scope of its work.  We have worked as a prime contractor on CMAV and IDIQ type contracts.  We have also completed a significant amount of work as a subcontractor for MSMO and other MSR contract holders. Much of our effort has been behind the scenes, providing certified Technical Representatives and depot level repairs for auxiliary machinery.  We have consistently performed to the satisfaction of our clients, providing timely and affordable services.
